Ubuntu Program
The Ubuntu Program provides holistic, culturally responsive behavioral health and wellness support to refugees and immigrants who have lived in Massachusetts for five years or less.
“Ubuntu” means humanity and reflects the belief that our well-being is connected: I am because we are. Healing happens through dignity, support, and community. At Ubuntu, we honor each person’s story while creating a culturally grounded, welcoming space for healing and growth.
Our trauma-informed approach honors each person’s culture, language, and lived experience. Our multilingual Community Health Workers ensure participants feel understood and supported from the very first connection, meeting them where they are and moving at a pace that feels safe and respectful.
At Ubuntu, our goal is to support individuals and families as they build stability, strengthen resilience, and feel a sense of belonging in their new environment. Through compassionate, culturally responsive care, we walk alongside participants on their healing journey fostering connection, empowerment, and hope every step of the way.
This initiative is made possible through the generous support from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH).
Together, we heal. Together, we thrive.
