Claudine Uwizeyimana

Program Manager for the Refugee and Immigrant Behavioral Health Program

Claudine holds dual master’s degrees in Clinical Social Work and Theological Studies (Religion & Conflict Transformation) from Boston University. Her work is deeply rooted in love, guided by the belief that without love, all that we do is incomplete—and that our well-being is deeply connected to the well-being of others.

At RISE, Claudine serves as Program Manager for Ubuntu, a culturally responsive behavioral health program for refugee and immigrant. Grounded in the spirit of Ubuntu—“I am because we are”—her leadership and practice center dignity, belonging, and collective healing.

Drawing on her lived experience as a refugee, Claudine approaches her work through an integrative, trauma-informed, and holistic lens that bridges mental health, faith, culture, and community care to help people thrive. She is deeply passionate about supporting refugee and immigrant children, youth, and families as they navigate trauma, displacement, and cultural transitions. Claudine cultivates spaces where resilience flourishes, hope is restored, and individuals and communities thrive.

Claudine speaks English, Kinyarwanda, Kirundi, Shona, Chichewa, and Swahili.
