Faith Aokachere

Community Health Worker (CHW) and Health Insurance Navigator

Faith earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Syracuse University. Throughout their undergraduate career, they dedicated much of their time to volunteering as a tutor for adolescent refugee and immigrant students at a local literacy center.

Currently, they serve as a community health worker at Worcester RISE, an organization that combines their passion for medicine with their commitment to this specific patient population. In this role, they utilize a trauma-informed approach to help families navigate the complexities of resettlement and support their mental health.

During their current gap year, they are also volunteering as an ESL tutor. As they prepare to begin medical school, they look forward to applying these skills within their future medical specialty to serve migrant patients.

Faith speaks English.
