Rokaih Al Aloussi

Community Doula Services Coordinator

Rokaih earned their Bachelor of Science degree from Worcester State University, where they majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry on a pre-medical track. Throughout college, Rokaih worked as a Biology tutor, worked as a Nurse’s Aide in a rehabilitation unit, and participated in microbiology research. These experiences strengthened Rokaih’s passion for patient care, community health, and serving underserved populations.

After graduation, she worked as a Medical Assistant at a pulmonary, sleep medicine, and allergy clinic, where they gained valuable clinical experience working closely with diverse patient populations.

Currently, Rokaih serves as the Doula Program Coordinator at RISE, combining interests in women’s health, maternal health, and global health. Her work focuses especially on supporting refugee and immigrant women as they navigate pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting while adjusting to a new country, language, healthcare system, and culture. Through this role, Rokaih has developed a deeper understanding of the intersectional challenges many families face when building a life far from home.

As Rokaih continues their journey toward a career in medicine, they hope to use both clinical and community-based experiences to advocate for and provide compassionate, culturally responsive care to marginalized communities.

Rokaih speaks English and Arabic.
